Quin Walters graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor’s degree in Theater.   She marked her stage debut at the age of eight in her hometown Chicago, Illinois, performing in dance recitals and church skits.  Inspired by films like The Color Purple and The Imitation of Life, Quin began to cultivate her flair for acting in high school, where she performed in numerous plays.  By senior year she wrote, produced, directed, scored, and starred in a one act play entitled Second Chance.  

 

While in college, Quin continued to grow as a theatrical actress performing in plays such as:The Caucasian Chalk Circle, The Good Times Are Killing Me, Loose, The Vagina Monologues and The Courage of Mandy Kate Brown as Mandy Kate Brown and many more.  As a final project, Quin would cast, direct, and score a short film for directing class.  This would prove great practice for her future in filmmaking.

 

Barber Shop 2 granted Quin her first featured role in a major motion picture and immediately following she landed a supporting role along side Austin Pendelton and Lance Reddick as Annette, in the film Bad City a.k.a. Dirty Work.  Quin can also be seen in Roll Bounce, Family Values, Pain is Love, April Fools, Heat & Hostility and The Intruders.

 

Quin resides in Los Angeles, and continues to work as a stage and film actress.  More recently, she starred in the stage plays: The Girls of Summer, V-Day-Until the Violence Stops and Heat and Hostility.  Her recent film works include: State of Play, Silent Night and Benevolence, a short film that she co-wrote, executive produced and starred in.

 

As an executive producer with Knuckle City Films LLC, Quin Walters incorporates screenplay writing and film producing into her artistry.  She has also created a series of short-form sit-coms, an untitled stage play, and is currently producing a national three-movie event entitled: the Know Your Identity Film  Tour; featuring Benevolence and The Experience, a feature documentary that was shot in Ghana, West Africa about finding one’s true identity.
